Hope For Utah

He only is my rock and my salvation... Psalms 62:2

Kirkmans_Prayer_Card (1)

Thank you for taking the time to look over our information. God has called our family to the state of Utah to plant Baptist churches.

Utah has about 2.8 million people in the state. Utah is dominated by Mormons. Mormons make up about 70 percent with only 2 percent Baptist. There are only 44 Independent Baptist Churches in the whole state. In North Carolina, we have 581 Independent Baptist Churches.

I believe in worldwide missions and home missions. In order to fulfill the “Great Commission”, we need strong, mission hearted churches in the states in order to send missionaries “to the outer most parts of the earth.”

Please consider having our family in to present our call and burden. A statement of faith as well as a letter of recommendation from our pastor is included. If you have any questions, please feel free to call myself or our Pastor. Thank you for your time.

Because of Christ, Brother Nathan Kirkman – Psalm 62:2

I was saved and baptized at the age of 16 at Southside Baptist in Salisbury, N.C. After going to church for about a year, I let old influences back into my life that led me away from God. At the age of 20, I was in a good Bible preaching church and got under conviction about the way I was living. I rededicated my life to the Lord and started going to church faithfully. At the age of 25, God called me to preach the Gospel. After years of being around missionaries, God started dealing with my heart toward missions. At the age of 29, I surrendered to the call to become a Missionary. God laid the western part of the states on my heart. For the last 3 years, we have taken several survey trips trying to find out where God would have us. Through series of events, God showed us that Utah is the place.

I grew up in Bright Light Baptist Church in Concord, N.C. I went to the alter with my cousin when I was eight years old and made a profession but it wasn’t until I was 15 years old that I truly realized I was lost and I got saved on April 7th, 1993. I met my husband in 1997 and we have grown together in the Lord and have put our lives in His hands.  I back my husband up 100% and can’t wait to serve the Lord in the state of Utah.

We believe that the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired and preserved of God and that they are the supreme and final authority for faith and practice. We accept the Authorized King James to be the Word of God, without error. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)

We believe in a Triune God, (Ephesians 2:18) Who is - GOD THE FATHER, Creator of Heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, rich in grace, supreme in love, and measureless in power. He hears and answers prayer. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:3-6)

GOD THE SON, JESUS CHRIST, God's only begotten Son and born of the virgin Mary. He is the only atonement for the sin of this world by the shedding of His blood on the cross. We believe that He arose bodily, ascended into Heaven and is seated at the Father's right hand as our High Priest and Only Mediator. We look for His personal, premillennial, imminent return. (1 Timothy 2:5)

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT, a Person Who is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is sent from God to reprove the world of sin and to regenerate all who receive Christ as personal Saviour. (John 14:16-17)

We believe that man was created in the image of God but because of Adam's transgression, the whole human race fell. All men everywhere are sinners, both by nature and by choice. (Romans 3:23)

We believe in a personal devil who was cast out of Heaven and is now the prince of the air. He is the archenemy of God. He has already been judged and someday will be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented day and night, forever and forever.  (Revelation 20:10)

We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith in the shed blood of the Son of God, which was shed for the sins of all mankind, not merely for a selected few. When someone receives salvation, they are eternally secure.  (Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places, prepared of God as the only eternal abode. All those who have been saved shall live eternally with God. All those without Christ shall abide in the lake of fire forever, eternally separated from God.  (Matthew 25:46)

We believe local churches consist of regenerated believers who have been scripturally baptized and are banded together for worship, work, and spiritual fellowship, spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Baptism and the Lord's Supper are the only church ordinances.

We believe in Bible separation, that is, to be set apart from the world, sin, self, and Satan, and to be separated "unto the praise of His glory" and the furtherance of the Gospel. (2 Corinthians 6:17)

We believe that all believers are to be witnesses unto the lost for Christ. We believe that all believers have certain God-given gifts and talents and are stewards for God. Some are called to preach or to other special ministries. We also believe that all who have rejected the Gospel or who have never heard the Gospel are lost, and that it is every believer's responsibility to help get the Gospel to everyone.  (Mark 15:16)

Pastor Allen S. Montgomery

Dear Pastor,

Thank you for your time and consideration of the Nathan Kirkman Family. It is a great joy and honor to recommend this family to you and your churches mission outreach.

Bro. Nathan and Sis. Aundrea are one of the finest couples I know, they have showed a servants heart in every area of ministry of our church. They have served in our Sunday School department and Bro. Nathan has preached in my absence. I see a determination and commitment that is missing in a lot of young families, and I have seen it in both of them. They are faithful soul winners, Sunday School teachers, altar workers etc.

This couple has been a member of our church for a little over a year, Bro.Nathan was very upfront about his call to missions when he joined our church. He also was very open to the Lord directing his family to our church. I personally called his former Pastor and was assured that there were no problems with this family.

Bro. Kirkman is being sent out of our Church.  As their Pastor they will be accountable to me and our church as to their work and needs. We have set up a separate checking account to handle their support. ALL MONIES sent to this family will go to them; we will not be taking anything from them.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me and I will do my best to answer any concern you may have.

In Service for our Lord,

Pastor Allen. S Montgomery
